Cheese Cake Factory

A while ago..We were looking around Tebet to found a nice hangout place to visit..at first We wanted to go to Cafe Du Chocolat, but unfortunately it was closed that day..so We go to Cheese Cake Factory instead..



Chesee Cake Factory..anyone know this cafe?Well..if you love cakes n live in Jakarta, you should already know this place..established around 2004, n said to be the trendsetter in pastries and desserts..hmmm..



We were kinda starving that night, so we end up ordering main courses while the initial plan was just to hangout munching some cakes,hehe..while waiting for the foods, we ordered 2 drinks..one of them was this Red Peach Love (Rp 35k)..hmmm..quite refreshing I'd say.. :)



And the other one, Camomile Tea (Rp 15k)..nice..quite fragrant..



My main was this..Fish En Croute (Rp 65k)..what is En Croute?it's basically a food that has been wrapped with pastry dough and then baked..
well..presentation wise it's a lil' different from the picture..taste wise?hmm..not that impressive..the fish is way to soft, and it didn't blend quite well when eaten with the sauce..hmmm..the vegetables are nice enough though..



Coffeequeendom ordered this, Linguini Stroganof (Rp 50k)..this one is better than mine..beef pasta with sour cream n parmesan, accompanied with garlic bread n a little of pesto around..nice..love the combination of beef, sour cream, n cheese.. :D



It feels something missing if We go to a cake shop without ordering a cake..so We ordered a dessert, Choco Melt and Ice Cream (Rp 45k)..woww..a dessert can always save the day I'd say..nice melted cake..while the ice cream is just ok..(hidup Bakerzin for the ice cream,u yeah.. :D)..

Conclusion..this is quite a nice place to dine in with your partner, even at this Tebet chain the place is not spacy n you'll feel the crowd of people queueing to order some cakes to be taken home..but, still a nice place..just don't forget to order their sweets.. ;)

Comic Cafe

Comic Cafe..resto dengan tema super heroes ini sudah mulai membahana dari tahun 2007..The "comic" here are both American and Japanese, with murals and comics or action figures collection to lighten n bring spirit to the room..Kebetulan kita lagi berkunjung ke resto yang ada di Tebet, yaitu Comic Cafe yang pertama. Yang kedua ada di Epicentrum Walk.



Sebelum makanan tiba, kita pesen minum dulu..Coffeequeendom pesen Hot Chocolate..ketal and ohh..one of the most satisfying hot chocolate ever, haha..



And I ordered this, Lime Squash kalau ga salah..mayan..seger.. :D



Untuk makanannya, gw pesen ini nih..Chicken Star Maryland..dari daging sih lumayan tebal, tapi sayang si chicken nya sendiri masih sedikit berasa tepung. Walau luarnya pas, tapi tepung yang di dalem masih agak lembab. Tempat sausnya terlihat ada dua bagian, tapi itu saus yang sama kok, dan emang ayamnya baru better kalo di cocol ke saus itu, ho..Untuk Wedge nya mayan.. :D



Coffeequeendom lagi ga pengen yang ber-carbo, jadi dia pesen Sate Padang..oke juga nih, dagingnya tebel2, bumbunya pun berasa, n has a little nice kick to it.. :D



Untuk penutup kita pesen Waffle ini, lupa nama menunya.. :p Boljug..dan makan lah selagi wafflenya hangat, pas.. :D



Overall, this is quite a nice place to spend your Saturday night enjoying your foods while sight seeing and accompanied by live music. Resto yang di Tebet ini dibagi jadi beberapa lantai, yang bawah ada live music, atasnya ada semacam library yang isinya koleksi komik2 yang bisa kalian baca, n diatasnya lagi ada rooftop buat romatis2an sambil ditemani remang2 lilin dan terangnya sinar rembulan..asekk.. xD Capek naik tangga buat ke rooftop?tenang, ada liftnya juga kok.. :D

O iya, berkunjung ke Cafe dengan konsep komik jadi inget dulu di Bandung sering nongkrong di Zoe Corner yang di Dago..apa kabar ya sekarang? tempatny enak tuh buat baca komik, beneran..apalagi kalo lagi ujan2, beuhh..ketiduran ketiduran dah..haha..

d'consulate Lounge

Anyone has been here?well, kebetulan waktu itu ada penawaran disdus voucher yg cukup oke, beli lah itu voucher dan sampai lah kita disini, dengan sedikit peristiwa nyasar gara2 Google Maps salah kasih lokasi,oho..



Berhubung vouchernya excluded the drink, so we order drinks..on of them is this De Lovers (Rp 44k)..this is a mocktail, a mix of strawberry and kiwi..pas minum pake sedotan itu rasanya asem2 seger..tapi pas minum langsung dari gelas..woww.. perfect.. the sugar is there for a reason.. :D



Ngambil voucher yang 2 beef/lamb..jadi dapetnya 2 main course yang beef atau lamb..2 menu yang udah gw incer sebelumnya, Angus Tenderloin dan Grilled Duo Lamb Chop, ternyata abis dua2nya..unfortunate I guess..jadi sebagai pengganti gw pilih Osobokcco ala Milanese..pasti pada bingung Osobokcco apaan, gw juga pertama kali denger nama itu ga tau,oho..pas dateng ternyata adalah Veal Shank cooked alla milanese..
Huge..That's the first impression..taste wise, not bad..empuk banget, n rasanya mirip2 buntut kalo gw bilang..o iya, di tengahnya juga masih ada sumsumnya loo, salah satu khas dari hidangan ini..the fries are nice..



Menu yang pertama Huge..yang ini..Humongous..gede banget..ahaha..ini adalah Lamb Shank in Curry with Raisin grape..selain dari porsinya yang besar, rasany sendiri masih agak amis kalo menurut kita sih, tapi tidak mengganggu kok..dagingnya sendiri empuk bgt..nice..
Untuk sang pendamping, nampaknya itu couscous..first experience with it..kata waitress nya sih yang ini terbuat dari gandum..rasanya agak mengingatkan dengan rasa kacang Macadamia deh..cuman hambar..
Bumbunya kalo gw rasa ga ada rasa2 curry sama sekali, lebih cenderung manis gitu sih..dipadukan dengan couscousnya baru pas..the raisins are nice addition anyway.. :)



Untuk menutup malam, kita pesan dessertnya, Chocolate Volcano (Rp 40k++)..Woowww..an awesome dessert, especially the melted chocolate cake..vanilla ice cream nya juga lumayan, ditaburi pistachios, masih favorit di Bakerzin untuk vanilla ice creamny,haha..yang tengah itu kayak juice strawberry, neither warm nor cold..would be nice is a little colder..



See the melted chocolate?uhhh..gw pikir gimana caranya melted chocolate cake nya bisa perfect gitu, luarnya crusty welldone, tengahnya melted..kayanya sih melted chocolatenya dimasukin dari bagian atas dari chocolate cake yang tengahnya kosong..soalnya bagian tengah atasny kayak katup gitu, udah kebuka..but still, very nicely done.. :D

Overall, d'consulate Lounge ini menawarkan konsep lounge yang nyaman sebagai one stop business pleasure..btw, waktu itu gw udah reserve sebelumnya dan dapet tempat di pojok romantis..kenapa pojok romantis, karena dsana tempat duduknya sofa sendiri, feel like private, a little dim, dan ada TV pribadi, haha..kalo mau tau, tempatnya langsung ke kanan begitu masuk d'consulate..
Price wise, for that kind of atmosphere and foods, it's worth it.. :)

Saran : Jangan cari tempat ini pake Google Maps, dijamin nyasar, haha..
